Useful Tips

A marrying couple should secure a permit if they consider a Hawaiian wedding because events held in public places such have the local authority’s permission to be able to host a formal procedure. Rather than using buffet tables try food stations. Guests don’t need to fall in line and wait until the person before them finishes getting food, spreading tables on different locations of the reception can help people conveniently move around.

Money Saving Advices

1. Keep the invitations to a speck. Limit a number of guests because some may not be able to come especially if the location of the wedding is far.

2. Purchase your own booze. A dry reception may save on alcohol costs but that wouldn’t be possible. Some caterers set the prices of their liquor high to make a profit.

3. Get the cheapest hall for your reception. Much better if the reception will be held along the shore as well.

4. Use nature for your decorations. Seashells can be picked from the shores and the use of palm trees and other materials can serve as an enclosure and other decorative items.

Bridal Rings for Men

Jewelries are known to be worn by women than men, and usually brides are categorized as individuals caring too much on wedding rings than men do. That conception changed as more men are buying men’s wedding rings. The stereotype now is that men care about their marriage rings as women because they also want their ornaments to be beautiful. Jewelers are crafting nuptial rings for men to compete or even complement with women’s wedding rings. The important thing to remember is that the style of the ring must be bold and masculine at the same time because blokes are perceived as strong and brave as women are beautiful and affectionate.

Since the World War II, men are look at their trinkets to recap them what they are fighting for. Rings remind married soldiers about their wives. Prior to the war, men do wear nuptial rings but the item is not popular among them. Subsequently males that are not part of the force began wearing wedding rings, the thought that only ladies wear rings evolved. The reputation of matrimonial rings for men grew over the years but there are some diverse dissimilarity between men’s wedding rings and those created for women.

Comparisons between Men’s and Women’s Rings

The most obvious difference between the two ornaments is that the band of a man’s wedding ring is thicker. Always remember that the views of males are supposed to be courageous and manly. Wedding rings are usually made from yellow gold, white gold, and platinum. Yellow gold are used for guys who prefer a traditional wedding. Be wary that the value of yellow gold depends on its karat. A highly rated karat translates that the golden item is priceless and can be sold lavishly. White gold complements with engagement rings as platinum has the same effect but such a metal is stronger and it is recommended for people with lifestyles that require manual labor. Many male nuptial rings contain complex designs and engravings. The popular styles for male rings are braid and milgrain.

Women wear multi-designed and diamond implanted rings as men may also wear diamonds, the stone setting is simple. Usually girls wear overstated rings such as the ones with a high stone setting as most men’s wedding rings commonly have a low stone implant. There are particular things to remember before men decide on a ring such as considering his lifestyle.

Gentlemen, Remember these Following Tips

Most men remove their wedding rings while participating in a vigorous activity, fashion experts recommend to choose a platinum ring with a flat stone setting. For example “Football players wear stone-less men’s wedding rings to prevent their rings from damaging”. A nuptial ring should be worn at all times, removing it is considered as breaking off the commitment. The popularity of matching bridal rings grew rapidly but men can choose a different band if they find the ring too girlish. Try to consider cultural legacy as well, some stones and bands may have traditional implications. Browse through catalogs to search for men’s bridal rings that fit the budget and style preference.

Guest books: Your Guests’ Attendance Sheet

A wedding guestbook is a customary keepsake where it records all the visitors of the bridal event and their wishes or messages toward the newlyweds. It is impossible to track guests who shared the matrimonial experience with the couple; the guestbook is then signed by visitors to prevent confusion about the attendance. Currently guestbook comes in different styles and hues. There are even some attendance records that appeared in sets that include a unity candle or a pen.

How to Choose a Guestbook

1. Choose a booklet that matches with the theme of the wedding. For instance, “a guestbook with religious poetries matches with a traditional wedding scheme”.

2. Have the wedding guestbook customized with a unique monogram or a picture of the bride and the groom. It is a keepsake; it would be great if the booklet is decorated. Attaching a ribbon or lace that matches with the color of the bridesmaids’ garments can be an example of personalizing the guestbook.

3. An attendance book must have enough space for all the bridal boarders to sign including the messages. Traditional books have lines where the involved parties can mark on keeping the sheets organized. But there are casual leaflets where they can write almost anywhere they want adding a little fun in extending their message.

4. Choose a pen that can be appropriately used for signing. Black ink is adequate while using multi-colored ink makes the guestbook seem untidy. Permanent markers can be used on ceramic platters.

Be advised to place the book conveniently at the entry so that guests can write on the wedding guestbook before entering the hall. Put a sign or anything that indicate attendants to inscribe the book. For instance “Please Sign Our Guestbook”. These are helpful especially if the couple is using an alternative attendance sheet because some guests won’t realize it is a guestbook until they were told.

Signing Guest books

An old-fashioned wedding guestbook require the visitor to indicate his whole name and address including contact details such as a phone number. Casual books would most likely ask people to include their messages for the couple. Extending a memo should be thought carefully, the best way to sign the leaflet is to write from the heart. Also try to avoid penning messages that are too personal because weddings are happy events, and it is a bad idea to attempt insulting the couple.

1. By looking at the format of the guestbook and observing how other guests sign the sheet, the visitor will have an idea on how to sign it. A simple “good luck” message will be decent enough but there are some that asks for a longer message.

2. Socialize with other attendants and relatives of the marrying twosome to gather information on what to include in the message. Another option is to look at the pictures or videos while formulating a note.

3. Note a few words on a pad or try to practice writing the message in private.

4. Return to the guestbook and sign, do not feel daunted by people after you and avoid communicating so that disruptions and mistakes are prevented.

Many newlyweds will eventually forget where they hid their attendance booklet; modern couples have other options replacing the book. Videos where guests can express their missive on filmed clips. Scrapbooks can be signed by guests but unlike the traditional guest books, a photograph album can be used as a display. Ceramic plates can be signed and also be used as a home décor. Sometimes there are even digital guest books like the ones found in websites.

Losing Weight Before Saying “Yes” to the Wedding Dress

Getting in shape is one of the most important factors that couples consider before getting married. The trends of wedding gowns today are lustrous and skimpy usually revealing the upper parts of the body such as the shoulders, back, and arms. As for the men, suits look better on them if they don’t have a beer-belly. People today are becoming more concious of how they look, because marriage for them is the most important event of their lives and every person wants to look at their best when that day comes. Gym instructors are hired to help them in losing weight before wedding through training; they can also provide the couple with diet and exercise programs. The idea of attaining fitness is to look good in the dress they are going to wear on their nuptial day, but also to condition themselves because such an event can be really stressful like greeting and thanking each guests and a whole night of dancing. The most important requirement to a healthy body is discipline because every individual should control their diet. For instance, “It is wrong to binge eating or pig out in a fast food restaurant afterspending hours exercising”. Training should be done regurarly to keep them physically fit, most men not only try to slim down but they also aspire to build more muscle especially on the abdomen. Women on the other hand are more interested to tone their muscles for strength and flexibility.Hardwork and perserverance will give you the results you need because a fit body cannot be achieved overnight. Please put in mind that cheating on your fitness program is equivalent to fooling yourself.

Losing weight before wedding should be planned carefully. Just because an exercise and diet program worked on one person doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for the other. Couples should consider seeing a nutrinionist before hitting the gym. A nutrinionist calculates the ideal food intake depending on an individual’s lifestlye, body structure, height and weight. Another job of a nutrinionist, as an allergologist, is to find out what kind of food the husband-and-wife to beis allergic to.

Another way in losing weight before wedding is by having a surgery instead of spending hard labor in the gym. Operations such as Abdominoplasty and Liposuction are surgeries performed to make men and women slender almost instantly. Liposuction involves a suction of fat on targetted areas such as the buttocks. Even if fat can be burned through exercise, a quicker way to get rid of it is to have it sucked out. The negative facets of over-suction of fat are as follows:

• Lumpiness or dents can be seen on the skin (evident dimple-like feature on the skin is an indication where the needle was inserted).

• Skin hangs loose.Because with the fat gone, a space beneath the skin has been created.

Abdominoplasty is a procedure where surgeons remove the fat and the skin from the abdominal area. It is also known as a “tummy tuck” surgery. This is different from liposuction because doctors make the skin firm during the tummy tuck procedure. Risks of these kind of surgeries are blood clotting, thrombosis, cardiac and pulmonary problems, and even infection.

Some may consider taking diet pills so they could lose weight before wedding. Medications that help reduce and control weight. Because going through surgery is for couples with deep pockets, medications are for those who want to be thinner without the effort of exercise. Although there are fatal risks involved when taking pharmalogical agents such as increasing blood pressure, faster heart rate, and palpitations. An oily stool is an example of a side effect usually by a drug that contains Orlistat while Acarbose (a drug for people with Diabetes) causes flatulence.

The suggested way to lose weight for the event is to exercise because not only it is natural and safe, but also it doesn’t involve costs (aside from joining a fitness club of course). Surgeries and pills may have a chance to go out of hand such as allergic reactions to medications and wound infections. Some people won’t even bother about their figure because of the technology such as photo manipulations are now available. Changing to a fit lifestyle helps us live longer, and inspire other people to do something good about their health. It is recommended to start training at least six hours before your wedding, also train at least an hour per day doing it three to five times a day. Too much exercise can also result to fatigue so it would be best to give yourself a day off from training, try to spend your day at a spa to relax your muscles.

Unless you want to appear haggard and tensed , a wedding workout weeks or months ahead of your special day will help you look radiant, relax and stunning for your husband to be and in the hundreds of pictures that will be your mementos for generations. To help you look gorgeous, here are some wedding workout tips to help you get in proper shape before your wedding:

Guidelines for Workouts

• Do three one-hour workouts a week, with 20 minutes of high-intensity cardio

• 30 minutes of strength training and 10 minutes of stretching

Toning your Arms

This exercise targets the triceps, the muscles on the back of the arms. The most common triceps’ exercise is straightening of the arms as in kickbacks and extension.

• Use medium weights on both hands and bend over until your torso is at a 45-degree angle.

• Bend the arms and pull the elbows up to the torso level.

• While you are in that position, squeeze the triceps muscles while straightening your arms behind you .

• Put back your arms to the starting position and repeat.

Toning your Legs

• In a standing position, with your feet hip width apart

• Get your knee up towards your chest and quickly place your foot back on the ground.

• Make other knee up in a moderate to fast jog with little ground contact time asm uch as possible.

Try these few wedding workout at least three times a week for the next three months if you like to see some results. Not having enough time is no excuse for exercising. Incorporate some exercises on your daily activities like instead of taking the elevator, use the stairs or do a couple of sit ups and pushups before bedtime.

Go to the gym and jog regularly to help you lose weight, relieve stress and increase your energy level.

Encourage your fiancé to join you in your exercise. This will give you both reasons extra time to bond and enjoy. You will not only lose the extra pounds but you will both look good in your attires.

Don’t starve yourself few days before your wedding. It is not healthy and it can affect the way you look on your wedding day including your skin and your hair.

Spend the last two day before your wedding on relaxation, not doing fitness. If light workouts help you relax, then that is all what you should do.

The best wedding workout is joining a gym workout but it is not best for everyone. These days there are plenty of DVDs tutorials on fitness that you can watch at home rather than attending the traditional gym work out. Discipline yourself in doing the workouts regularly.

Do not be obsessed of how you look on your gown. Your overall look comes in a complete package which includes your makeup, wedding dress, veil, bouquet, bridal jewelry sets and hair. Your fiancé loves you for who you are.

It’s not too late to look trimmed and toned for your wedding day. All you need is discipline and a great desire to look good in your most special day.

How to Choose a Professional Wedding Videographer

We all love to keep pictures as mementos of any special event in our life specially our wedding day. Improved technology has added another dimension to our well loved hobby of keeping pictures. A video can capture detailed events that a picture cannot. It brings life to our past, allowing us to reminisce memorable days with those who were not present with us. Therefore, a choosing the right wedding videographer warrants our time and patience in searching for them. Exactly how do you choose a professional videographer for your wedding day? Here are some guidelines to help you out:

Look his Portfolio

A professional wedding videographer keeps a well stocked of portfolio of past works he has done. Take your time to meticulously look at least 3 of his finished projects. Take down notes on the quality of shots and sounds, editing and style of composition of his video. A wedding videographer is artistic, creative and experienced. Be wary of demo tapes o r DVD. Demo tapes are collection of several good shots to impress the client. Look for a full length wedding video preferably done in your wedding site to give you a clear idea of his abilities. Excellent angles, good composition and variety of shots is a characteristic of a good professional videographer. Inquire how long he has been in the business and ask for referrals of clients he has handled to ask about.

Editing Style

You can check his editing style while viewing his past work. Is this the type of finished video you want? Examine the variety of shots. Are there mixed shots of nice close ups, medium shots and wide angle shots? How are the shots combined to make a smooth transition from one shot to another?

Kinds of Camera to Use

A professional videographer carries a professional camcorder and not a mini DVD camcorder. Small and lightweight camcorders are meant for home use only and not for weddings. There should be two manned cameras to be used instead of one. One camera is inadequate to record provide better coverage of events.

Lights to use

What type of lighting to use can affect the quality of the video? Discuss with the videographer how he is going to provide lights during instances when you want to maintain the ambiance of the wedding especially when it is a candle lit dinner. Wedding videographers may resort to some light enhancement during the cutting of cake, wine toast and first dance to record well the event.

Audio Equipment

Inquire if the videographer will use microphones to ensure a clear sound will be recorded from the music, officiate and the couple. A professional videographer never relies on the camera recorder alone to record the sound. Asking how the wedding videographer will record will assure you that he knows what is required of his work. Videographers who are professional invest on wireless microphone to make their work the best.

Attire

What the videographers wear can ruin the setting you are trying to achieve. Have them wear formal shoes and not tennis shoes, formal pants and not jeans.

Essence Of Wedding Veils

Veils serve numerous purposes. The most common among others are wedding veils. These are pieces of lace, which are part of the brides’ apparel. The designs are almost similar. Sizes, however, vary. The material also differs.

There are a lot of impressions about the meaning of the way veils are worn. Conservative folks believe that brides who cover their faces with long veils are chaste. They are thought of being pure as they approach the sanctity of marriage. On the other hand, some think that those who wear their veils at the back of the head which exposes the face have lost their virginity. They say that these are the librated kind of women.

In response to these thoughts, try to observe how brides wear their veils. One thing is romantic though. It is the moment when the minister or priest announces that the couple is officially man and wife, the groom may kiss the bride and then he lifts up the veil to meet his wife’s lips. Thus, if you are an extra hopeless romantic, wear the veil over your face to experience this once in a lifetime tender act. Do not ever consider ancient beliefs.

But a significant aspect to look into is the style of the veil. Most wedding veils are thin in which we could see the vivid details of the bride’s face. A few are thick that barely show the outline of the face. Some attach the veil to the hair dress in the form of a band that serves as the crown. The style ranges from simple to elegant.

When it comes to the style, floral laces that falls up to the waist are prominent. This adds mystery to the bride’s personality and feelings. This hides her mixed expression of happiness and uncertainty. However, this does not expose her make-up for the most part of the ceremony. There are, also, wedding veils that have no designs or those that are plain. This entails simplicity. Wedding veils are sometimes made simple to accentuate the hair style or the wedding dress.

Anyway, there is another veil that is used in a wedding rite. It is that long piece of cloth which is being put on by a pair of sponsors. One end is pinned on the shoulder of the groom and the other end on the head of the bride. This symbolizes unity. The couple is considered one person upon marriage. They are deemed as two bodies with one soul through harmony and togetherness. This is also usually made up of lace or a similar material. What it represents is of the essence, not the material. The material only adds beauty. This kind of veil are usually borrowed or handed over.

Wedding veils go hand in hand with wedding bells. The veil unites and the bell announces the union. They go together. They seem insignificant but they spice up a wedding ceremony. The difference lies on the form. The sound of the bell is constant. The appearance of the veil is unique in every occasion.
